As the TM and Alerts Analyst, you will monitor and investigate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities ensuring our clients are protected from financial disadvantage and at the same time keeping our organisation safe from criminal activity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and investigate alerts raised from Insignia Financial Groups Transaction Monitoring program which includes Name/Watchlist screening
  • Report SMR’s to AUSTRAC
  • Adhere to KPI, quality and SLA targets
  • Liaise with staff across the Insignia Financial Group when required for investigations
  • Assist with project work where required

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in Transaction Monitoring and/or investigations
  • Knowledge of Australia’s ML/TF and Financial Crime risks, methodologies and controls
  • Strong understanding of the compliance requirements for SMR’s
  • General knowledge of financial services including investment markets, securities and superannuation legislation
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Report writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification/studies in intelligence, justice, accounting, business, commerce or law (preferred)
  • ACAMS accredited (desirable)
