Senior Data Analyst | Remediation

Due to our large program of work, we're looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Remediation team. Your primary focus will be on systemic issues which may have impacted our customers/members. You will support the root cause analysis and end to end remediation of incidents within our business.


Key responsibilities:

  • Understand the business problem and design data analysis required to identify the accounts, transactions and members impacted.
  • Develop coding to receive data from different source systems, create data sets/cohorts per requirements and generate files to support execution activities.
  • Manage and take ownership of cases and issues to ensure the customer experience is of the highest standard.
  • Manage and coordinate the end to end remediation process from root cause analysis to execution of compensation and communication to our members.
  • Liaise with IT teams and manage data extracts and calculations with finance stakeholders.
  • Solve for and articulate complex problems.
  • Continuously seek and raise ideas to improve processes and systems that lead to better member outcomes.


About You

In addition to your strong technical capability you will exhibit strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills that can be used to motivate, influence and advise senior stakeholders. You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment and be an independent, creative thinker.

You will also have:

  • A relevant qualification in IT, Commerce, Finance or relevant field (preferred)
  • Prior experience in data analysis and root cause analysis to identify and solve complex problems
  • Experience in remediation methodologies across large member groups would be beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience with data analytics techniques such as compiling, integrating, cleaning, analysing and reporting data
  • Ability to write code to solve complex data analytics problem in R, Python, SAS, STATA, Microsoft SQL, PL/SQL or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge and experience creating data visualisation tools and dashboards
  • Superannuation/Pension/Insurance experience
