It is in this context that we are looking for experienced Trustee Claims Assessor.


The Role

As a Trustee Claims Assessor, you will act as an advocate for our Super Fund members by independently reviewing information for the purposes of ascertaining whether members meet a condition of release to access super benefits as well as conducting relevant death benefit administration for our Superannuation Funds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Validating sum insureds to ensure the correct sum has been admitted by the Insurer
  • Assessing for a condition of release under the ground of permanent incapacity, death and terminal illness
  • Proactively manage claims allocated to you and ensure a high level of communication and service has been provided to all parties involved in the claim
  • Reduction in claims lifecycle to provide an improved customer experience in line with Trustee Obligations
  • Ensure the right decisions are made and the correct outcomes are reached for our members and their families
  • Agree or challenge decision made by the Insurer to ensure that the correct outcome for our members and their families is made


To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Legal/ Banking/ Finance/ Business Tertiary education is desirable but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in understanding Trust Deeds and Policy documents is desirable
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to influence, negotiate and motivate
  • Proven track record in communication skills - written and verbal
  • The ability to build and maintain productive relationships and work effectively with others both inside and outside the business
